Boiler House

St John;s Angell Town Primary School is working in partnership with Lambeth Council,  local housing associations and St John's the Evangelist Church in the regeneration of the area surrounding and including the Boiler House in Overton Road.

Demolition works has now started on the boiler house and is expected to finish by mid October 2018.

Consultation On Temporary Use of Site

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Following on from the demolition of the old Boiler House in Angell Town last October, Lambeth Council would like to maximise the use of the space, whilst the long-term use is decided upon.  We now want to start consulting with key stakeholders and residents/businesses of Angell Town estate about ideas for a temporary use for the site. This is to prevent the site been left disused.

No decision or plans have been made about the permanent use of the site, although it is suggested that the temporary use should be inter-generational and benefit all members of the community. Feasible ideas from the community will be considered in line with budgets and timescales for the site. The council has a one-off budget to support the temporary use.

We look forward to hearing what innovative and exciting ideas you have that the whole community can benefit from.
