Workshops and courses

The school offers various workshops and courses during the school term.

We hold Family Lives drop-in Workshops to help and support families wanting to help their children at school. The workshops are on-going and run by a charity called ’Family Lives’. They will run workshops that are aimed at helping parents to raise confident children who can succeed at school. An individual support service is also available. Priority for workshops and the counselling service will be given to families who qualify for Free School Meals.

The school also publishes a list of low cost events in London (provided by the Brixton Learning Collaborative) that might be useful to parents thinking of a family outing. It includes free workshops for children in libraries and galleries. See our homepage for what's on every week.

St John's also organises monthly Home-School Partnership Coffee Mornings for Reception Year parents and carers. The coffee mornings are a time to discuss how the school can help the children learn in the best ways possible.
